One of the most exciting and crucial points of your new mentoring experience is choosing who you would like to be your mentor. The mentor / mentee relationship is very different from that of the Preceptor / Preceptee. Although your mentor will be a valuable resource for you as you become familiar with the facility and as you are perfecting your skills as a nurse, your mentor is also a confidant that is interested in seeing you succeed in your job and life.
