The
cost for a preceptor train-the-trainer program
in which the California Nurses Foundation
provides all the tools that hospitals and
health care agencies need to deliver their
own high-quality preceptor training on an
ongoing basis is approximately $17,500, regardless
of the size of the health care institution.
This includes the cost of all program materials
– including high-quality training packets
and instructor manuals – as well as
post-training follow-up and technical support,
including access to CNF staff and to CNF’s
continually updated website.
CNF
can also provide the preceptor program in a
direct training format, in which CNF instructors
deliver training directly to preceptors within
the hospital setting, rather than training hospital
staff to deliver such training themselves. The
